Poems for the Homies - Tim Ashley
how long, how long have we known
each day was going to be fun
everytime the outdoors called to us
we would soak in the sun for years
creeping out from the light of our dens
and finding out we'd be great friends
brothers of the sand, music create with
drumming hands, and those ridiculous
tans when frying the bacon pans
then the daily routine became a
beam of light in dark days where
fluorescent screens lit my face
shrouded in wafting smoke, beers
till the bottles created a glass moat
never forgetting the ordinary drive
eating burgers and french fries, beach
trips with blue skies, extraordinary weather
I instantly felt better, the freshness you dealt
real love I felt, as hot as when CPU chips melt
I wanna be with you where you are
that's where the fun is at, pure joy
even if you didn't buy all those spectacular toys
but you did, you tech guru, thanks for freeing me
from the horror of windows without a door
a few shows here and there, rocking head to and
fro your hands in the air! like you just don't care
but you did and the real concert happened
right at your pad, every night we had a helluva
time, after crimes and land-minds and highway signs
you were too kind
let you know your heart helped me shine :D
Thanks Tim. You angry bro?

What is AirPWN?
AirPWN? is a tool that first debuted at DefCon 12.
AirPWN? acts as a man in the middle tool for wireless networks. It takes advantage of the time that a website takes to respond to normal page requests. In that lag time, it can inject its own content onto the wireless channel of an access point. For instance, you may request a page from wikipedia.org that takes, round-trip, approximately 125 ms. If someone near you is running the airpwn tool, it will see your request and immediately respond with its own web page and/or content because it is much closer and takes much less time to respond. When your computer receives the data, it will think the original request was answered and display the page. When the real web page is presented, it will either ignore the page, or display some of the content. AirPWN? can be configured to carefully craft responses so that your browser will ignore the real web content as it would with html comments.
In this article i walk you through installing AirPWN on Ubuntu Linux 10.04 and 10.10.

XDCC-Fetch
The other night i was reminiscing about the old IRC days when i would leech a mass amount of 0day warez from various IRC channels. When i was using mIRC on Windows, i coupled it with a bitchin' XDCC bottler script called XDCC Browser. When i attempted to find the "linux alternative" for XChat, i was sad to find out no real 'Crème de la Crème' of XDCC bottlers for it. This brought me to another stand alone solution for XDCC downloading with ease on linux, XDCC-Fetch.

What is XDCC-Fetch?
XDCC-Fetch, written entirely in Ruby, is an intuitive, no-nonsense tool for searching, collecting and downloading XDCC announcements within IRC channels.
Features:
* Simple, no-nonsense user interface
* Search-on-typing
* Pack filter
* Multiple IRC servers
* Resumable downloads
* Download queues
* Parallel downloads
* Checksum comparison
* Server + channel status stored, reconnect on startup
* Download-finished popup
* It is free!
In this tutorial, i will show you how to get XDCC-Fetch running on any Linux OS.
Minecraft
If you haven't heard already, Minecraft is one of the most epic open world, sandbox, survival and crafting game to hit the Internet in ages. Even in it's Alpha stage, it's become so popular in such a short amount of time that the developers website crashes daily.
In this tutorial, i show you how to play Minecraft on any Linux OS (32bit and 64bit)
A sneak preview of my next "Perfect Ubuntu Desktop" video.
* Ubuntu 10.04
* Wallpapoz rotating random wallpaper every 1 min
* CoverGlooBus album art desktop widget
* Unclutter hides the mouse pointer after 30 seconds
* Hide Desktop icons
* Gnome-panel auto-hide hack to 0px
* System Load Indicator applet
* Gnome-do
* Avant-window-navigator dock
Having everything hidden (Gnome-panel, AWN, Icons, Mouse Pointer) it creates a nice picture frame while your computer is idle, thats constantly changing.
